The Alchemist Brewery and Visitor Center

Jen and John Kimmich opened The Alchemist in 2003 as a small brewpub in Waterbury, Vermont. The brewery became famous for Heady Topper, the unfiltered double IPA that helped define the modern New England IPA and made Vermont a destination for beer travelers.

The Stowe brewery and visitor center offers tastings and retail sales of Heady Topper, Focal Banger, and rotating specialty releases, some available nowhere else. Cans are distributed mostly within Vermont, so a visit here is the most reliable way to get them.
