Grimm Artisanal Ales

Joe and Lauren Grimm started Grimm Artisanal Ales in 2013 as a nomadic brewing project before opening their own brewery in East Williamsburg. Grimm is celebrated for creative hazy IPAs, fruited sours, and striking can art, and the brewery says it has been named New York State Brewery of the Year five times.

The taproom pours 20 drafts inside a working brewery and winery, with a rooftop bar and Lala’s Apizza in the same building. Indoor bar seating can be limited on weekday afternoons while production wraps up. Grimm also opened Grimm Tavern in Prospect Heights in 2026.
