Icarus Brewing

Jason Goldstein opened Icarus Brewing in Lakewood in January 2017 with six beers on tap. It quickly built a loyal following for big hazy IPAs and rich imperial stouts, and in 2024 it moved into a new, purpose-built brewery on Route 88 in Brick with roughly four times the space and about 30 beers on tap.

Yacht Juice, a New England style IPA, and Drinking Crayons, an imperial IPA, are among the best-known releases. The taproom has a mezzanine, private event space, and a beer garden with a fire pit. Food comes from neighboring businesses and vendors. Icarus self-distributes its beer throughout New Jersey.
