Allagash Brewing Company

Rob Tod founded Allagash Brewing Company in Portland, Maine in 1995 with a single goal: brewing Belgian-inspired beer in the United States. Its first beer, Allagash White, became the brewery’s flagship and one of the most celebrated witbiers in the country.

Allagash is also known for its barrel-aging work and its coolship program, which produces spontaneously fermented beers in the traditional Belgian manner. The Portland tasting room offers samples and brewery tours.
