Kane Brewing Company

Michael Kane launched Kane Brewing Company in August 2011 in Ocean Township, a few miles from Asbury Park, and it has since become one of the most respected breweries in New Jersey. Kane is best known for Head High, a citrusy, piney IPA that many Jersey drinkers consider a benchmark, along with a deep lineup of hop-forward beers, Belgian-inspired ales, and sought-after barrel-aged imperial stouts. Many recipes use ingredients sourced in New Jersey.

The brewery’s Bloomsbury Avenue facility includes a taproom and a seasonal beer garden. There is no food served on site, so plan accordingly. Kane self-distributes its beer to hundreds of bars, restaurants, and stores across the state, and limited releases often sell out quickly at the brewery.
