Samuel Adams Boston Brewery

Jim Koch co-founded The Boston Beer Company in 1984 and launched Samuel Adams Boston Lager, selling it bar to bar around Boston. The beer became one of the best-known names in American craft brewing and helped prove that full-flavored lager could win over a national audience.

The Jamaica Plain brewery on Germania Street is the company’s original home and innovation center, where new recipes are developed. Visitors can take brewery tours and sample experimental small-batch beers in the taproom. It is a short walk from the Stony Brook stop on the MBTA Orange Line.
